We went to Strawberry 9/16/12. Launched out of Strawberry Bay and went up to Renegade. We set up casting the shallows and caught a few nice ones. I was throwing a silver spoon that did well and Hiram threw a Frenzy.

We then went trolling and did not do well there. We pulled into Mud Creek and drifted worms and caught a few more. Not a stellar day but fishing with my nephew and the expressions on his face when we caught fish was wortht he entire trip.

The few pictures I looked at are awesome. Sure would be nice of you could post picture, like with photobucket. On a cell it is too time consuming to look at each. #25 is sweet.

Can't wait for the water temps to plummet there. Love Strawberry in the fall. Looks like a great outing. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Congrats on the fish you caught !!!

I wish I could do as good as you, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to catch fish in Renegade. I have read posts over the years about people catching lots of fish at Renegade, but I've never had any luck there. What's the method for fishing there? What part are you fishing, just north and west of the renegade ramp? In the shallows to the west, or a bit deeper to the north? Trolling, Jigging, or something else?

I'm just obtuse when it comes to fishing sometimes. I've had great days at the berry, but I've had some pretty lame ones there as well. I LOVE fishing there because it's quite scenic, but I just can't seem to find any consistent way to catch fish there. Just a flip of the coin...

The first photo of the fog in the Narrows is AWESOME!

Very nice.

Looks like a good time with decent fishing was had. Congrats on that.

It used to be like that, but you can post pics with photobucket IMG links now.

Awhile back, BFT went through a few changes and you can even cut/paste from other forums with success now.

Thanks LOAH. I know it can be done, I do it. I use my phone more now and having to call each picture up is a bit of a task.

I loved the pic of the kid giving it the death squeez. With that attitude he should have plenty of gusto to net your big fish in the future. Nice report and it is nice to see we are at the time of year where "smoke on the water" is back. Great report on the berry.

Nice post, fun looking trip. Kewl to get the kid on some big tugs, and Big Grins in return. Was it the Spiderman rod?
