I fished Henrys Saturday morning with a little success. Caught 12, most of them were from 7 to 8:30 in the morning along the north shore. Largest brook was 12 inches, largest cutt was 17 and no hybrids. There were about 40 boats on the lake. Friday was reported as a good day.

I visited with a group of six fishermen that have been on the lake for a week and will be there for another week. Traditionally they catch between 250 to 300 in the two week period, but this year they have only got 61 fish and no big hybrids or big cutts and only one brook trout over 20 inches.

Leaves are changing colors and the water temperature is 58 degrees, so fishing should pick up if it is going to.

I was there the 19th. Caught several, and in the mind the one that straightened my hook and the many that broke me off or threw the hook where HUGE...LOL
I have hear the same reports while there. The biggest taken was 26".
Give it time to correct, it will be great again.
But I do think they need leave well enough alone. Non of this need happen if they had.
Leave it special and not a family fishery. Island Park is just down the road for that.

I was up there yesterday and fished from 2 p.m to about 7. We caught about 20 fish out in the middle trolling but they were all pretty small. Couldn't have been a prettier day other than the smoke. The lake was glass most of the time we were there.

I am heading up there tomorrow. I'm glad the fishing is picking up a little. I have telling the guys I am going with about the non-stop action. Looks like there may be some stops !! I troll with a little different technique that a buddy of mine uses. Last October we were there and it was crazy fast fishing. I was hoping for cooler weather in sept, but that didn't happen. I will report.

I sort of wonder how much our abnormally hot summer had to do with the fishing quality being down up there. I know that all the areas I fish haven't been as good this year as they normally are.
