So after a long while of no reports, I'm getting back to fishing. I decided since I'm working at the nuke plant to try there, so went out for an evening with Rebekah. Used bluegill and cut skipjack. Lost a REALLY, REALLY big fish! I thought I was hung on something, and started to pull to break it off, when it just started screaming off like a freight train! Must have taken me 5 seconds or longer to finally yell "its a fish!" ended up breaking the line, maybe partly due to the strain from me trying to break it. Ended up with several small flatties, and a couple blues. She also caught her new personal best 25 lber! Going to be getting out more frequently now, so I'm determined to bust the 80lb mark! I think I had it on last night!
