After reading the great reports that DK had this week on Crappie fishing I just had to carve out some time. I called my old fishing bud Neil and told him about DK catching 73 on Tuesday and that we should go and fish yesterday morning. I tried to post this yesterday but the computer was acting wierd and would not work right.<br /><br />We put in at HBSP at 8:30 am and fished until about 1:00. We tried to find crappie under docks and every dock we fished we struck out (except 1 where I caught a couple small fish). We did catch some on some deep rocks about 40 fow but no size to them either. I ran about 10 gals. of gas hunting those slabs but to no avail. We used 1/16 BG&#39;s in various colors for the most part because of the wind. It was cold in the morning but water temp around 69 all morning. Sorry no pics, just nothing to brag about. We did have 12 crappie with 3 keepers that were given to a needy family that Neil had promised some fish to. <br /><br />Still it was a great day to be on the water and the restaurant at HBSP had some great bar-b-que samiches when we finished. emoTongue
