Hit the North Fork of the Clearwater earlier than ever this year. I had heard the spoon fishing could be good early and the crowds would not be out yet. Well, the crowds were definitely not out. We were the only ones on the river. Only spotted a steelhead or two, but somehow my Dad was able to sight cast to one and entice him. Beauty of a fish and he put up a great fight. Really looking forward to heading back soon when they'll be a few more fish in the system.
