Mom had the week off for fall break (she is a lunch lady at the high school) so I took off today and took her fishing. My first trip to the Riverpark in a month so was not sure what we would find. Long story short we had a great day. Threw pig n jigs mostly, beating the banks. I did throw a drop shot early and got a few cats. We ended up boating 19 spots, 1 largemouth, 5 channel cats, 2 blue cats, 1 drum and 1 rock bass. Not bad for 4 hours fishing. The weather was perfect today. I brought home 16 spots and mom took a gallon size bag of filets home for her and my great aunt. Some of the spots were in the 2-2.5 lb range and all but 4 were over 12 inches.
After fishing we hit Kevin Browns for lunch. Good eating. Then home to clean fish.
Water temp was 67-68 or so and the flow was north of 40K. The weather was unreal. Very little wind, sunny, and cool. Perfect day to spend with mom.
