Yea, it's not only at the location you have at the link. It has been snowing, with a mix of rain, all morning here in South Ogden.

Ya I know but the link just shows how much snow is Gona be in alta and I'm going to be up there hopefully Friday or Saturday to shred the gnar.

Dude keep in touch. I am headed up there for sure on Saturday but maybe friday if I have it off from work. Anywhere from 20 to 40 inches from what I read last night. I will check again right now to see of they changed the forecast.
I am hoping they turn on the snow machines so that we get a rock free stretch of snow.
Edit: Just checked and now 25 to 43 inches by Friday!!!!!!

Sorry you can't ski or snowboard or enjoy ice fishing or even any winter activities out there.
Edit: please, no name calling.

Me lazy? Hah tell that to me after playing pick up bball for like 3 hours and then lifting for a hour or so. I haven't had much luck Ice fishing in the past mostly cause I went with my dad and he isn't in good shape and stuff so he can't walk far to good places. That being said though, i'm pretty sure fishing for all species is worse in the winter. You can have good days but as the temp drops they get less and less active especially at freezing temps.

You and your random angler theory XD. Your the master of it!
[signature]
It's pretty proven dude. There's cameras that film fish moving and it shows this. That being said there's obviously going to be good ice fishing days but there's an absolute reason why they say spring and fall are the best times of year for fishing. Summer isn't because it's super hot and the fish tend to go out deeper where it can be harder to find their exact depth. Plus they haven't been in starvation over the winter so it's not like they're dieng to eat. Winter isn't because they just feasted and are preparing for a cycle because just like bears they don't eat or move as much in the winter.

sure sure sure random angler theory man [laugh] whats your theory on this year snow pattern please tell me how good or shitty its gona be with your theory of the weather patters in great detail. [

Haha there's no predictions or or real weather patterns but weather in utah typically falls iinto cycles menaing really wet or dry years. We're coming off of a dry season so I predict a dry bitterly cold winter. You won't like that if that's the case haha.

true true true but guess whos going snowboarding and hiking up a mountain just to snowboard and maybe land some front flips this year already [
] So stocked for friday and saturday. ha ha ha. I love how my english teacher looks out the window and says hey class looks like we got snow in the valley and I said yes yes we do and guess whos going snowboarding right after your class ends [laugh] surprisingly. I laughed when he didnt even questioned if I had any more classes through the day. Just told me have a great time and all the power in you to go up there.

Thats funny dude. I honestly woud like it if it's a dry year because lakes and rivers are super easy to dominate then. You can tell the deep holes. I'm in class right now watching a boring white and black flim about desert people.....I love having a lap top plus wifi [

Oh and I havent got my new phone yet cause verizon was an idiot and sent the phone with no battery even though they told me to sent them the whole phone.
[signature]
Thats epic. Ya with the snow falling that means hiking to a lake with the twins and catch some nice fish maybe a monster even coming soon and ice fishing trips many in less then 1 month.
[signature]
Yeah it is so sick but the thing that sucks is i'm typing in the tightest space ever. i'm totally stiff and in a standard position haha. Dude that will be awesome. I hope it isn't raining or snowing this weekend cause me and a old time friend wanna go. He's a total noob at fishing so i probably will be tieng hooks, untangling his pole and all sorts of stuff lol.
[signature]
At this rate, if it is a dry winter there will be no waters to fish. It is
right now.
But, you are right, the prediction is for a mild winter...hoping that is flat out wrong however.
FFL, love the shots of the back country skiing fishing.
Just remember it could be days before someone can find you.......LOL

Not all places are horrible you're right but some areas would be
and certainly would dry up. I think because of high water 2 winters ago we're still "OKAY". If its bad water this year it probably will reach around the 05 level. I can't remember if it was 2005 or 200 but somewhere around then we had a huge drought. I just have always noticed that in Utah it seems like 2 or 3 years in a row it'll be super wet but then they'll be 2 or 3 years of super dry.
