I took a quick trip up to Deer Creek Saturday... it was supposed to be a trip with my daughter and her boyfriend, but she ended up having to work last minute so me and boyfriend went anyway.
We caught three in the first hour and wasted three more hours trying to find where the bite went to no avail.
The fish we caught were all deep on lures trolling. After that died for an hour, we tried some bait down by where everyone bait fishes at the inlet... nothing but a couple of follows on jigging.
It looked like a slow day for most the anglers out there. I only recall seeing one other fish (it looked like a smallish perch) reeled in.
One of the fish was a nice 19" rainbow that was fun to fight in.
Other than that, nothing to write home about.
I have a trip planned to Strawberry on Saturday with a neighbor and his grandson. Hopefully the bite will be stronger up there.
And the storms will have passed by then.
