I have not seen any reports lately so I thought I would throw one up. I fished the ABA open last weekend out of Cottonwood on Mohave. We launched at around 6:45 with 15mph winds and that was the calmest we saw all day. I love fishing mohave not only because of avg, fish size, but because of water clarity. The visibility there (up to 40') is just astonishing and can at times be video gamish with sight fishing. We started on main channel points and put 3 keepers in the boat before 8. After going through some short fish, we decided to move into secondary points and cuts. We went through more rats before finally getting a nice smallie to give us 4 fish. We lost two nice keepers at the boat around 1 and then the bite just shut off and the wind went crazy. We pulled a few more dinks before weighing in. We ended up with around 9lbs. for 7th place. Here is our big bass, 3.91 lb

Good catch. That lake kicks my tail. Never have done very well at all down there other one trip on the Stripers.

Thanks for reporting Vegaskid - Nice fish.

Good job on the finish. Winter bass fishing is about to be upon us. How's your cold water game?

The winter bite is deffinately a bit slower. My best finish came in February, (2nd) and I worked finesse baits in deeper water for the bulk of my bag. Reaction bite is always on somewhere though, you just have to find it. Ill still throw topwater in Jan.[fishin]
