Had a pretty amazing day at Oakley Reservoir this afternoon. The weather was perfect. No wind and a comfortable 60 degrees. Water was glass most of the afternoon. I ended up catching 6 really nice trout. My biggest was 3lbs 1oz and second biggest was 2lbs 12ozs. The rest were in the 1 to 2 pound range. The bad part was I ended up making an unwanted sacrifice to the fish Gods! My favorite pair of fishing pliers are now resting peacefully at the bottom of Oakley Reservoir. I have had those pliers for over 10 years now and they have taken the hook out of almost every fish I have caught during that time. So Long old friend!

Nice report and fish. Sacrifice brings rewards!

Nice fish and beautiful scenery.

I know how you feel about the pliers, though. I've had my pair of stainless steel pliers for over 20 years. They are K-Mart's house brand, and the company quit selling them when they merged with Sears. I would be very Sad if I lost them.
