Fishing Forum

I want to get my husband some new fishing gear for Christmas. He sold his when we left San Diego so I was hoping someone could tell me a good brand or give me something to start with. He likes deep sea fishing but there are a lot of rivers around here too that he could go to. I really have no idea about it so any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
