I made a work trip down to Imperial Valley [south east California] the other day, and found some time to wet a line one night while there.
There are hundreds of nice holes down there that hold fish like these that have never
been fished.

The Imperial Valley is about 50 miles from the Colorado river. The biggest recorded Flathead caught in the Colorado river system is I think 76 pounds.
They were introduced to the lower Colorado system by the feds back in the 70s.

Recorded weight, many people don't have them recorded. We release all of ours also. We use Bluegills and waterdogs.
