That's too bad!! What a loser! Idaho has so many cool species to fish for, we've gotta keep them around so my kids and their kids can fish for them too. People like that ruin it.

That's my favorite area to fish at... I've caught everything from catfish & bass to sturgeon & trout there... that's so messed up :/

I hope it is not ten percent and more like 1 percent. This is a grade A certified , guaranteed piece of sh&t and if anyone knows who did this or anything like this they have an obligation out of common deceny and commitment to the great outdooors to report the type of scum and vermin that would do this!

Your right Ron, if there was a big enough reward some one would talk. To bad that is what it takes for some people to do the right thing. Why would some one poach a sturgeon? Ive had sturgeon before over in Washington and it wasnt that good of a fish to eat. At least not to poach one. What a bunch of lames same people probably keep more then there limit on all fish they catch. They probably hunt out of season too.

Poachers are equally scum no matter where they come from. I hope they catch whoever did it, but unless someone turns them in it's not likely to happen.

Did they ever catch the poacher who stole the sturgeon out of Parkcenter Pond?

The last I heard they had some evidence a surgeon was there but no clear evidence that the fish was killed and taken from the pond. Ron

One can only hope that this was a one time incident and not part of a bigger problem like someone trying to harvest sturgeon for roe. California has been dealing with surgeon poaching for years. There are groups of people that can take dozens of sturgeon in a week or two to sell the meat (not probably that relevant in Idaho) or the roe for caviar (lots of money).
