Looks like I'm on track to be moving to American Falls around December 1st while I go to ISU and enter POST for the next 9 months or so! I'll be happy to fish some new waters and check a few more species off my list! I think my top 3 places to hit are gonna be S. Fork of the Snake, Henry's, and Bear Lake at some point. I'll be living a quarter mile from below the American Falls dam so I plan on doing quite a bit of fly fishing there and duck hunting!Any "MUST GO TO" places I should be hitting for species/sizes I can only get in Eastern Idaho?

I fish around AF. Ill be driving a white Toyota with a topper. Ill look for you! What will you be driving?

You might try for the sturgeon below AF Dam.

I can't think of seperate species you wouldn't have caught around Boise. .... Unless you are dividing out the different types of cutthroats such as the Snake R Fine Spotted, Bonneville, and Yellowstone Cutts.

Lava around the third weekend of July. Bikini's from one end of town to the other. My son loves it there. I will be a good boy and say it was a fun time with my wife. Ron

I am sure people that fish below the dam in AF know this but just thought I would let folks who don't know that fishing for sturgeon right now below the dam is a no-no.

• October 16 through Friday before Memorial Day
weekend – limit is 0 for all fish species, catch and-release, no bait allowed, barbless hooks required.

• Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through
October 15 – bass limit is 2, any size; trout limit
is 6, only 2 may be cutthroat trout, only 2 trout
over 16 inches.

Thanks for the heads up! Fortunetly I knew that one when fish and game stopped me last winter when I had visited!

Since you mentioned Bear Lake, it is a good one for different species as it has several unique species. The Bear Lake Cisco, BL Whitefish, Bonneville Whitefish, and the Bear Lake Cutt. (It is an offshoot of the Bonneville Cutt if it is different at all) Plus it has lake trout.

Definitely gonna have to hit that this year! I heard Cisco spawn in January? Any body up for a trip?
