Went to Chester yesterday on the tube. Had to finally try out my fish finder. And it worked great. But it also told me why my feet turned into feetcicles. The water temp was 38f, and ive decided that wool socks are needed when in that cold of water. The biggest fish I had caught was 23" and I cant even say I caught him due to the foul hook and it was camera shy. When I put him on the lap board I unhooked him and reached for my camera and he decided he didnt want a mug shot. Most of the fish were small 12/14 inches. Caught most of them on a gold spoon. And the bigger of them were on a 1.5 inch black leech cutt'r bug. There was ice floating around in a couple spots. It was easily a 20 fish day but most were fresh planted.

Thanks for the report.
I am waiting for some ice and it sounds like it is close.
This time last year it Chester had 6 inches already.
Just need a good cold storm and all will be frozen again.

Be careful in that cold of water it's easy to stay out too long and have hyperthermia get ahold of you. I did it in a high mountain lake one June and couldn't hardly get out on my own power. It's scary I didn't realize it until I was close to trouble. Nice report. Later J
