Got out later than I meant to this morning and was backing the boat in right about 10:00 at the dam. Fished points and long coves working toward Harrison Bay with a few short strikes but nothing to show for it. Mostly junk fishing, ditches and any structure just off the main lake. Jigs, scroungers, worms, and cranks. Really just trying to locate fish. By 12:00, only one small fish had made it back to the boat and I ended up spooning him up out of about 25 feet off a long rocky point. I worked further north, and spent the next hour shad hunting. Found massive amounts of bait in serveral areas but no fish were feeding. I got to looking a the size of the shad and started trying to "match the hatch" so to speak. Changed my crankbait and the next couple hours were a blast. I never really found fish activily feeding in the creeks on the shad, but I backed out of the creeks/pockets to what I would consider to be staging areas, and that is where I found them. All fish were in the 8-12 foot range, close to deep water with a pretty even mix of lm's and smallies. I guess the colder weather the last couple days pushed them out a bit. Very pretty afternoon, love getting out this time of year and seeing the last leaves fall. It's awesome, God is good! Here are some pics of the better fish that made it back to boat.

Tight Lines Boys!

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb144/longball09/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0390.png

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb144/longball09/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0405.png

http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb144/longball09/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_0397.png
