Ok...seems to be a lot of bass fishing going on...but don't forget about the catfish! If it's your thing, I gave some old advice a shot and it worked. Maybe some of you have heard of this, but years ago an old timer instructed me to mix sardine oil or pieces of sardines with chicken livers, (just mush it up together) and place them in a tied piece of pantyhose (a common trick with just chicken livers). Well, I was in the harrison bay area and focused on some residential spots for about three hours. I caught 5 cats: the smallest was 2 pounds and the largest was just over 6.5 pounds. I was using 12lb line, an open faced reel with med-light drag, and a 6ft medium action Ugly Stick. I had fun! So, if you know catfish, smell is key with the bait of course. But the sardines really turned them on this evening. Give it a try, I'm going to again this weekend! And if you like, give me some feedback on this baiting technique...is this common, never heard of it, etc.? Good fishing to all.... emoAngler
