I guess that it has been about a month since Bent Rod and I fished together. I've been busy with family matters. So, today, we met below Nickajack dam and were trying to catch crappie, but we caught just about everything else but crappie. I did finally catch one 12" white crappie, but we didn't take a pic of it.

But we had a fun day junk fishing. We caught 6 saugers (all 12" to 12.5 inches)(must be 15" to keep), 3 white bass, 1 skipjack, 1 gar, 1 buffalo, 1 smallmouth, 1 largemouth, and 5 spotted bass. Most of the sauger and the gar and crappie came on Bobby Garland Screamers with a 1/16 oz jighead. But a couple of sauger and all the rest of the fish came on blade baits. Rick is a pro with this lure. I am a novice. Oh, and I did land a fish scale after missing one strike. The scale weighed 2 lbs. emoPoke I think that I temporarily hung a buffalo too. It came off after a very short 3 second fight. It was in the area that Rick's buffalo came on and just after he had released the fish.

I had fun today, Rick. Next time, let's go to Tims Ford and fish for Black Nose Crappie or junk fish again. emoBig emoGeezer
