Use to fish mn and in Canada years ago- nothing since. Retiring and buying new lund with 150 and kicker. Will have trolling motor and fish finder. Tell me about batteries. Can I fish for a week 5-6 hours without charging or is it a daily chore?

First off, welcome to the site.
The short answer to your question is, you need to charge them daily. You might be ok for a couple of days, depending on how much you use your elec trolling motor but it is always better to charge them daily if you are near a power source, especially in cold weather. If you are getting a new boat, just get an on board battery charger, much easier than hooking up a portable unit every time you want to charge your batteries.

If you are talking about an electric trolling motor and sonar, yes, you will need to charge daily. Our gas motor will charge our battery though, don't all gas motors offer this option?

All main motors do but not kicker motors, I think kicker motors need to be 9 hp or larger before they have that option. The main motor won't charge your trolling battery on most boats, unless someone changed the original setup. That is because a lot of bass fisherman use nothing but their electric motors and if they run them too low, they might not be able to get the main motor to start.

Don't scimp on the charger like I did. Cabelas low end only lasted me 1-2 years before giving up the ghost.
Enjoy the Lund, I do.

Most all electric start motors will charge your battery while in operation.

It never hurts to have 2 batteries and 2 ignitions {one for each motor}

for electric start gas motors that dont charge, so long as you are not starting and killing the motor 20 times a day it should last you a week for sure. a seperate battery is a good idea for this unit otherwise you will find yourself having to start the bigger engine and run it for an hour in the middle of your fish outting.

electric trolling motors will only last 5-6 hours of trolling on a windy day. well at least that is what I get on my 35 lb thrust. {I do drive hard when targeting for walleye}

and if using an electric kicker then most deffenantly use 2 batteries, a seperate for the electric. and yes you will have to charge it every day.
