Went to Scofield today in hopes of good ice with the cold weather. We can always hope.....
Most of the lake still open water. Some ice coverage on the north arm (looked a little sketchy). Most of the dam arm had ice. We decided to give it a try. Ice was about 3" where we got on. Fishing was slower than we hoped but caught a few. Mostly cutts. One bow, no tigers or chubs. Probably another week before good ice lakeside I would guess.

My buddy drove by there today and said it was looking kinda of slow for you guys fishing. Least you didn't get skunked.

Felt even slower. We did get a few. Wasn't enough safe ice that I felt we could move a whole lot to find a hotter hole. Maybe in another week or two.

Looking at the weather it should hopefully be nice and iced up in the next week or so. I hope it caps quick, I am itching to get on the hard deck!
