We had a great time fished Sat Sunday and Monday I would like to say thanks to the members of this forum for contributing information that helped a lot as we have never fished there.
fought wind snow and bitter cold for the last few days but it was worth it, sat we didn't get on the ice till 11 as we received a call from Idaho pan that the wind was bad so we took out time. we only landed 4 fish that day Just out from the rose . The next day we were on the ice bright and early just off one of the points at the rose then over by the state ramp in the afternoon and we landed 14. The final day we fished between the rose and stump hole and it was fast and furious between 3 of us we landed 27 and the snow kept adding up so we decided to hit the road by 11. we mainly used pink and white paddle bugs gitzit little tough guys brown jig heads and all of them tipped with worms.
You guys were right the jigger totter is a wonderful tool and most of my rods will be sitting atop them this season also the offset handle i made for the auger worked perfect and it really made a difference.

I was with Michael and we were way down near the dam in the Goose Bay arm. It would have been a long ride for me, and in that wind, I just stayed put. Not to mention that I sprained my wrist because a pulled a joke on my friends one time too many. The ATV ride just wasn't going to happen after that.

I didn't even know there was a dam until Michael told me that's where you guys were. That wind was pretty bad but i would lie and say the sprained wrist was from catching to many fish [laugh]

I've used that same jig and had incredible success, I've caught so many fish on it that the paint is chipped off, it still catches them though.

They really like them and i think the wider gap really helps get a good hold on the fish. the ones i used were new and there already showing wear But nothing a little touch up wont cure [cool]
