A friend and I want to fish Henrys this year. We will have to have a place to stay so does any one know of a Hotel in the area? Does Henrys close this month?

It closes this month. I have stayed in West Yellowstone at this place before http://www.yellowstoneinn.com/. It was not too bad at all for the price. You can get good deals now since it is the off season up there.

We stayed at Sawtelle (Island Park) last weekend and it was adequate. Nothing fancy, but clean. It was on the North end, so close to Henry's.

Dinner was scarce at Sawtelle, so we went to Ponds Lodge for pizza. I would like to try and stay there next time as food was right next door. It is a little farther South, but not too bad.

we stayed at the wild rose got a room with two queen beds fireplace tv microwave stove and fridge just a little over 100 per night was nice to have that stuff and fishing 200 yards away http://wildroseranch.com/newsite/about-us/henrys-lake/

Last day is Jan 1st . Other places to try : Island Park Village Resort-Across the road from Sawtell Mtn Resort, There is a Motel across the road from Macks Inn but can not remember the name, Lazy Trout ( formerly Aspen Ridge and something else) may still rent the 3 cabins they have and is the closest I know of not on the lake. Very basic I what I remember from years ago.

Lazy Trout is now Drift Lodge , They have a very nice web site , if you want to check things out . There is also Eagle Ridge , but it is about 12 miles from the lake . They also have a nice web site . Curt G.

I prefer Mack's Inn. Rustic sure, but river right there for a little down time fishing. Restaurant is great, and people super friendly.
