I'm looking for info on Ice Fishing Moon Lake. From what I've found online you can get to it early sometimes by vehicle and the rest of the winter its snowmobile only. Can anyone who has ice fished this lake before please elaborate on this? Any info would be appreciated.

I have ice fished Moon Lake a few times the last couple of years. The road from the turn off to Yellowstone Canyon is not plowed during the winter so if we get very much snow (which it is doing now) you will need a snowmobile to access it. Fishing there is mostly for smaller fish but there are a few splake over 20" in there. It is stocked with rainbows, splake and tiger trout. There are also a lot of brookies in the lake that are produced in the inlet streams (Lake Fork, Fish Creek and Brown Duck Creek).
