Good to hear he got out. I know people who used to routinely carry personal firearms across the Texas border into Mexico as well despite all the signs in English warning that it was illegal and would result in jail time

The last few years the Federales are trying to decrease the flood of American weapons into Mexico. They'll aggressively check for personal weapons as well and throw you in jail in a second. My friends that live on the border just don't cross anymore rather than enter unarmed. Now they have switched out their 4th rounds and above to armor piercing in case of problems crossing into the U.S.
