casting at 11:00 and immediately started things off with a smallmouth at 1.75, then it was a day of reckoning with the drum -- one after the other after another. dad put the first nice smallmouth in the boat, one that went 4lb 4oz. he was soon to follow things up with a better fish at 5lb 3oz. I continued to get the drum out of his way so he could stay on em. We caught fish in both clear and muddy water on tubes and grubs. I, like always, threw my arm out crankin with absolutely zero takers. Ended the day with two more nice smallies at 3lb 14 oz and 3lb 5oz. Was a heck of a smallmouth day for us. Haven't had one like that in a long time. The weird thing was that all of the small spots weren't there. We only caught two all day.
