Hi everybody, Did anyone fish Henry's Lake this weekend? If so how was it and how thick is the ice? Thanks for info.

You shouldn't have any problems. I was up there two weeks ago and it was 6inch at wild rose.

There was 12" on the east side with a little water coming out and soaking the 6-7" of snow. Fished from 1:30 to dark and landed 7 and most of then were from 4pm or later. white was the best with just a little movement once and a while. Light biting

Fished Saturday and light biting was right! Between staring at the sonar and figuring out that the line moving to the side of the hole with almost no movement on the tip of my pole was actually a bite really kept me on my game!

We fished yesterday at Staley's. First time at Staley's for us this year, have mostly been fishing elsewhere at the lake. We fished right up in the mouth from sunup to about 8. Came on fast and furious and died fast. For some reason we caught about 20 little 10-12 inchers. It was a little maddening, we haven't caught so many little ones all year there. Pulled out some nice ones also in close. Then we packed it all up and moved out 300 yards or so. Started catching real nice ones, even though it was still a little slow and the bite was extremely soft and light. Here is a picture of the highlight of our day. This one weighed in at 5 1/4 pounds. Was an awesome fish and the whole reason I love to fish there. Even better was the fact this this 10 year old was the one who caught it and is now hooked for life!

Tell that 10 year-old he has my vote for "Best Fisherman of the Year"!! Maybe he can get on this strand and tell us some of his secrets. Mike
