I just ordered 4# Seaguar Red Label florocarbon from GanderMoutain for
$11.99 and they pay shipping. Is it good line and is that a good price? I am going to use it for flyfishing.

Looks like a great score. I use P-Line Fluorocarbon, but I have used and like Seaguar Fluorocarbon. But I buy the 250 yds for around $20.00. I am not sure what the difference is with the RED, but reads fluoro.
Let us know how it holds knots.
I use regular fluoro fishing line instead of tippet, but the dimension is bigger.

Thanks for the tip and thanks FG for recommendation. Just scored some for myself.

I use Seaguar florocarbon in 4# 8# and 10# I too buy the large spools usually at fishtech.

The best holding knot I ever found for all the streamer fishing I do on either lakes or rivers is the Davy Knot. See it on youtube.

I think you got a great deal on a big spool but only average if you got less than the 200 or so yards that comes on the one like I buy.

Kind of off topic, but I picked up some of the Sportsman's Warehouse brand of Floro... Wow, does that stuff suck major fish balls. You get what you pay for, and I should've known better.

I bought some Cabela's figuring someone must make theirs and ....maybe...it would be a company like P-Line or Seaguar. I got it in 10 lb, but so far I have been happy with the knot power.
Vanish is by far the worse I have ever used.
I use Double Surgeon's knot to connect tippet to leader and Surgeon's loop for fly to tippet. Holds great.
I am not sure the story behind RED and why it is so much less than the Blue Label. It looks like Blue might be smaller diameter for same strength. 4 lb Red is the same as 5 lb Blue
But at any rate, that $12. might be the new go to price. I await reports for sure.
