Took the wife crappie fishin this morning. Started fishing stumps in 5-10 fow with no luck. Went to a deep ledge and fished for a while. Still no luck. Finally found a few on a deep rock bank in about 20 fow. Went to another spot and weren't catchin any crappie so I decided to toss my Tn rig around a few times. About the 5th cast had one nail it. A nice 4lb 13oz lm. About 5 casts later WHAM, landed a 4lb 11oz lm. Maybe 10 casts later WHACK, landed a 4lb 8oz lm. 14 lbs of bass in 20 minutes. Threw my rig about 30 more minutes with no more takers so went to a dock and caught a couple more crappie for supper. Fished from 8 am till 3pm with 10 keeper crappie and 3 nice bass. Bass were released, crappie were delicious! Most crappie were caught on Bobby Garland Blue Grass.
