Still looking for any help identifying these rod holders, my dad bought years ago. NO commercial marking on them (just a marking pen $3.50 from a yard sale), but he's pretty sure they were from a real store at some point.
Anyone seen anything like this?
Any help is appreciated.

Kind of has that Driftmaster look to it. But, the fact it has no name or model does come off as hand made by some one.

I would have to agree with them looking home made (although a great job). I see a lot of small manufacturer products and have never seen anything like them.
I posted this thread on the bigfishtackle.com facebook to so maybe someone there will recognize them and respond?

the clamp is deffenantly foundry made, the rest is an add on, The clamp it self was probably made in the mid1940's to early 1950's
what the clamp actualy went to is any ones guess, but you can see it was deffenantly re-adapted.
the heavy gage wire for the holder I actualy used to make in my younger years, it was from a draw down process. beleive it or not that wire used to be over 1 inch thick.
I do reconize the quality of the bends in the wire, so it was deffenantly done in a machien shop somewhere. If it an aged item, this may have even been a prototype. It could also posibly be something put together recently by a crafty person who wanted to save $25
If I had to guess what function the clamp was origanialy used for, I would say a break clamp from the 1950's for replacing break shoes on your car.
I am suprized to see how clean it is, "free from rust"
but I have been wrong in the past.. It was deffenantly fun to look at. [cool]
tks for the share
