I apologize if this post shows up twice. It seemed to disappear when I first posted.
I need a bit of help installing the carb (Tillotsen HU series?) for my Auger head. The power head appears to be a 49cc Tecumseh TC 300 3106D.
I believe I have all the holes lined up correctly from the carb through the spacer to the engine intake. My problem seems to be with hooking up the accelerator spring from the accelerator slide to the carb and the placement of the blade on the end of the carb accelerator shaft. I know where the spring hooks up to the slide that attaches to the accelerator handle through the cable, but don't see where it hooks up to the carburetor. I also don't know what the blade on the end of the carb shaft does or where it is supposed to be placed.
Clear as mud eh?
Any help?

a lot of those have Tecumseh motors might look on Google for schematic or maybe look at some of the youtube videos on rebuilding the carb, might shed some light on where things go

I found two sites with the blown up parts diagram, but they don't give a clue as to where the spring might hook up. I think the blade might just go up under the engine cover.
I'll checck out Utube and see if they have anything.

How about calling up "support" at the company. Hope you get it figured out! Mike

Hope ya get it figured out, if I were closer I'd have a look. Magic Res is producing right now, went to Walcott yesterday and had no luck. We were talking about Lake Trout and Bear Lake yesterday, doing any good? The river is still low so I haven't been after sturgeon, I'll let you know. Good Luck. Dale

This is my first post. I just set up my TC300 and needed this file to get the air gap in the flywheel. Hope this helps. The vane diagrams are about half way down the page.

Welcome to BFT. I love the owners manual. Heck, I don't need it. Nice to have. [laugh]
Thank you

I bought the same type of auger this summer at a yard sale.
I don't want to hijack your thread but mine will start and cut through the ice great but will not idle. If I let off the throttle it will shut off even after being really warm. Perhaps the pictures of mine might help you or myself if someone can point out obvious errors on my setup.
