I am heading for the CJ Strike area which will include Cottonwood to check out the ice and some of the perch and maybe a lost crappie.

Heading to Payette in the morning. Planning on staying the night on the ice in my shelter.

Taking my 2 1/2 year old grandaughter to Foster for the first time. Saturday.

How did everyone do yesterday? I ended up at glendale, the edges are soft soft. I ended up knee deep, only fished a hour tell my feet were froze couple decent perch and a bunch of tiny trout. I went to foster today and the edges wernt any better. Not sure if its the weight of the snow ontop of the ice, or if the temps are melting snow in the mountains but be safe around the lakes and res.... I can tell you that water is cooooollld!!!

We fished Saturday straight out from the boat ramp, we were around 20 ft of water, but last week i was fishing the north east side of the lake and only in 8 ft of water. I caught more in the shallow water but quality was about the same, and lots of trout to get threw to get to the perch

Thanks! I am still trying to figure out the differences between summer and winter fish patterns. Now if only it would warm up a little -16 last night and a high of 5 so far. I have gotten to be a "fair" weather fisherman. (WIMP) [laugh][laugh]
