On the subject tho what do you guys and gals think about those kind of holders. I have a "Mr jigger" just haven't used it yet wondering if it's even worth bringing on theIthe ice.

I have a Mr. Jigger that I use every year. They are great for detecting light bites. Did great using it for Perch at Pineview last weekend.

I really like my Mr. Jigger. I used it a lot last year when i had new people fishing with me and it was easier for them to tell if they were getting a bite. When there is a slight breeze it jigs for you so that is also nice when you are focused on you other pole on the bucket.

I love 'em, just with they were a bit taller, wider. Usually set them on a table/prop. Longer rods get a bit nose heavy.
Just a tap of the foot, and it's bobbing. I put corks on the wire in case it falls in a hole.
Hard to really see much of the Wigger - basic PVC model, seen other even taller designs. (see the ice-fishing board)

I have a Jigger Totter that I really like; although, I don't like it when, occasionally, the totter gets caught in my line during a hook set. If any of these various manufacturers of jigging devises have gone to the expense of patenting their devises these home-made units, like the one you linked, are likely in violation of the patents.
