Aquired a few blanks as of late. They have very little info with them but I do know they are early graphite blanks. Here is a pic of the ferrule that was factory wrapped. Also the rod is labled on the package 4 B. I know that has something to do with bamboo rods but that is about it. I have searched the net with little luck and am hoping someone my recognize the ferrule. Thanks

What has 4 B have to do with bamboo?
It just looks like the ferrule on many older glass rods. Lamiglass style.
Not seeing the end I don't know it that is Butt over tip or Tip over butt.
Just a normal ferrule for older rods to me.
What is your question about it?

I was told that the 4b is the action and weight of the rod. Not sure that is true. It is a tip over butt and looks to be graphite not glass. How can I tell. It has a deffient spine. I am trying to find a possible manufacturer of the blanks.

I have never heard of that for the action or weight . Maybe the 4b means 4 weight blank. Are they the same length and the tip slides over the butt section? What kind of action is it?
More Pictures would possibly help.
