First and for most, I dont get on and post very much as I'm really busy and have a hard getting time to go fishing. But I certainely enjoy all of your guy's post!! The post VISE PORN was awesome. I started to tie my own flies and having fun but nowhere near what you guys can do. My question is did you take any classes?, if so where? I would love to learn how to tie. All of you posted some really awesome looking flies, and I would love to get to that point. any help on where to go would be much appreciated. Thanks again for your help in advance!!

There are classes being offered. I know western fly Fisher in SLC has classes. Grab a good book with a variety of different patterns. YouTube is a great tool.
www.flytyingarchive.com is another great resource. Go to some fly shops, ask personnel to show you how to tie something up. Buy some patterns for templates to use at home, not to fish with.
PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! More you hit the vise, the better!
FYI Wasatch Fly Tying expo is coming up March 29 & 30th. There's going to be 62 tyers for you to watch and learn! All sorts of resources out there for you.
Lastly, BFT! Don't be afraid to ask a question here, post pictures, etc. Always happy to help!

I took an awesome class at fish tech... It was like 40 bucks and it was onc a week for a month. They showed us dries, nymphs, wooly buggers etc. great class and by far the cheapest price you will find

I would second the Fish Tech class. But did you know if you go in when it is slow both fish tech and Western Rivers will show you a pattern or two.
I did it years ago. Lance showed me how to tie the Rainbow Warrior right there at the table in the back area at fish tech. Western rivers showed me how to tie a bunny leech in the room where they teach classes.
With that said youtube has amazing tying tutorials and patterns. Literally thousands of them.

I would 2nd the suggestion on the Wasatch show, if for nothing else, to see people in action tying different patterns, using different techniques etc. There will also be some classes structured for beginners as well as more advanced classes, including a couple by Kelly Galloup.
