I am also heading out to Fish Lake tomorrow. Perch can be caught at 17-25 feet of water around the lake. If you see a yellow car, then that will probably be me.

This is a bit late since you may have already left home but we were there yesterday and did well. The trout fishing was best early on but also picked up in the late afternoon. We fished from 13 feet out to about 90 feet. I lost a lot of the bigger trout at the hole but my son was better at landing them. When I was in for some perch I caught a bunch of tiny splake but did catch a big one that must have been looking for some small fish. We decided that perch fishing is much better with the camera. Most bites were light enough that you couldn't detect them but with the camera it was way easy to catch them. I also used the camera to target the bigger ones. The ice was about 14 inches of clear ice so take a good auger. We were north of Makinaw before the last marina. We did best on trout with a white tube jig tipped with a crawler. Perch wanted an orange ice fly tipped with a perch eye. I spent most of the night fileting out two limits of perch. I had forgotten how much fun that was.
