Hit the hard deck today with a big party of first timers, not many fishes. We plugged holes from 15' to 35' and only hooked into two bows at the very end. Both were caught by little kids, one was a first fish ever and both were biggest fish ever so there was much celebrating for each! Not a great trip but next time we'll make the long trip to starvation and do better!

Too bad it was such a slow day at Echo. I'm
curious though, why did you choose Echo over PV? Hopefully you will have better luck at Starvation. Thanks for the report, now I know where not to go[

Never had much luck at PV, and there have been a couple reports of some decent perch getting caught on Echo and it was closer for a short trip. Don't know that I'll go back though...

I don't blame you. The reports from Echo were great after first ice but it kept getting slower and slower, the last week, from the sounds of it, the good catching was over. Pineview on the other hand keeps pumping out perch, yes they are smaller but for someone just getting into ice fishing that matters little. Just a thought[
]. PM sent.

How well? Where were you fishing?
I was up there on Thursday and did pretty good. Caught around 20 Perch and the occasional bow.
Returned to the same spot on Saturday and it had turned off. We were pretty far away from the crowds (most anglers headed closer to the dam) but it was just dead. We managed 2 perch and 2 bows in a couple of hours.

Me and my dad went up there for a couple hours in the afternoon and caught some nice ones on the same day. Fished about 20 feet of water
