think there's an "um" in that thar lake.

So by the spillbowl I'm thinnin you mean the west end. Know some folks who have done well there - swore by shrimp. I tried some - they were entertaining to watch dive or float up on the finder.

Have seen trout come through on the bottom, but best has been about 10-15 feet down, even had em come through barely under the ice.

What were you fishing with? Jigs bait?
I just use ice flys with a cast master and uselly do great. I tipin them with shrimp or meal worm but I havent pulled any thing out over 15 16 inchs my buddy allways use power bait iv never tryed the inlet or east end cause its long walk and never knew if it was worth the walk or not you know much about it

Well I was on the inlet right at light sat mourning, I caught well over 50 fish by 11. Your only in 10 feet of water but they are in there , and thick. You can't get to the bottom before they hit, about 8 to 9 were 16to 18 inch bows , 6 perch at 10inches. And one 23inch bow, and a fatty!

If you don't mind the hike! There is a spot to park your car at the top of hill east of the inlet. There is a path down to the lake.

Well ill have to go for a little hike then from the sounds of it I haven't pulled any thing out of there over 16 inches in a couple of years but I don't really fish there during the summer tho do you snag up on weeds a lot over ther

If you don't mind me asking should I use somethi[bobsurprised]ng else beside little ice flys to get into the bigger bows out at hyrom

I used a kastmaster with ice fly 6" below it, tipped with wax worm, little white and pink foxy jigs, and little 1-2 inch plastic fish with a grub tail. All three of these things seems to catch all sizes of bows. But when you use the bigger lures you don't catch as many little guys, and no perch. So if your not interested in perch take off the ice fly. Just 8 inches to foot off the bottom. Hope that helps
