[font "Calibri"]Got to the lake at 9:30am and ran into Guide Jim Goff (former NSC President, maybe the founder of the club) from Fish Incorporated Fishing Guides. Jim said the shad have left the wash, so we just fished with cut bait. Maybe the shad will be up shallow later in the day when it warms up.[/font]
[font "Calibri"]We found a spot west of government wash almost across from 33-hole. Chummed the area were we marked a lot fish and they were slow to respond. 5 cans of corn and 3 pounds of sardine cut up small.[/font]
[font "Calibri"]The bite was very light and they were bait Steelers, we had to keep the poles in hand to get them.[/font]
[font "Calibri"]Carolina rigs with long leaders about 4 feet and dropped just off the bottom in 54 feet of water.[/font]
[font "Calibri"]The bite picked up at around 2pm until 3:30. Took 10 fish home and missed about 20 bites.[/font]
[font "Calibri"]The dinks were out in force and would clean a cut bait to the bone in just a few nibbles. [/font]

Thanks for the update! I spent a few hours screwing around in the basin yesterday and hardly marked a fish. I did mark one fish sitting on the bottom in about 85 feet of water that had to have been a 20+lb fish. It was huge on my screen. No hookups though.
