fished pv yesterday with my wife and 2yr old yesterday, it was my sons first trip ever on the hard deck and he had a blast.

The fishing was well, I will tell you that i have not had that much fun in a very very very long time.

We arrived at cemetary point at about 3pm and left at 4:45pm. We caught over 75 perch and took home a limit of 50 perch. Most fish were smaller but the average size seemed to be 6-8", i did manage one bigger perch but the action was non stop.

My son who is 2 also caught his first fish without any assistance other than me dropping his lure to the bottom, he did the rest.

Thanks to catman for finding a big school of perch and letting me join on an all out perch assault.

He caught some really nice hogs

Also yesterday there must have been 50 plus vehicles in the cemetary point parking lot, i have not seen that many people in many years! it was a zoo

We fished in 35 fow and used perch meat

Congrats to the little man on his first fish!! That's awesome!! I was curious on what the crowd would be like on a holiday... Looks like you had a stellar day and I bet the little guy is hooked for life!! Now you just need to get him on a few muskies! Sweet post man!

ya i dont ever think i have ever seen so many cars and people out on the ice at pv. Most were on the south-side but people were scattered all across the lake. My son had a blast, he enjoyed playing with the perch even with his bare hands. Ya i will take him and my wife out this year, really would love to help my wife get her first muskie, might be a bit early for my son but i am sure he will tag along on a few short afternoon trips.

Awesome Wildcat94 glad you all had a great fishing day and the little Man got his first fish...we have done well on PV also for Perch and have also found some larger ones. great the little guy enjoyed his first ice trip. you will now have a life long fishing partner.
I was part of that zoo. we left about the time you got there. had a hard time getting my grandson off the ice. finally told him if he wanted to help me eat our catch . we better get home so grandma could cook them. that got him moving.

Schwing! Nice day out - looks like fun, kewl getting the kids on the tugs. Missed it again. Another ice-day I mighta crossed paths, yet this one got nabbed by the dreaded "W". sheeoooot.

Had some other buds that made it up and had some good action. Don't think the View is off this list for this year. But - it's a short list!

All out perch assault is right! We caught over 600 perch in two days in the same hole!talk about a monster school!!! Glad i could do some recon and get you and the fam on the perchletes haha
