Hit PV today w/my buddy by the dam - fished 25' and 40' hammered the perch all day! Biggest being 9 1/2" most were small. We also collected 6 crappie 4 being good size. Everything on the bottom.

Then hooked a 36" 18 lb. tiger appx ten minutes to land on 6 LB micro ice line /steel leader. I bout lost it when I saw him at the hole. Fun day thick fog and slushy on maybe 10" of ice.

Got him back in the Water in good time and he took off quick.

awesome fish. thanks for sharing. [cool]

Wow that's awesome! What did he hit on? When we go to pv my wife avoids catching all the other fish and focus's souly on musky all day, to which she has never had any luck.

Wow, awesome tiger, what a huge head, is the weight an guess, going my the length? I would think it weights more than that but very nice fish either way, thanks for sharing your report and pic.

Nice tiger! I'd love to get one of those bad boys through the ice. I've seen them come through on the sonar but I've never got one that'll eat a pimple.

Were you fishing west of the buoys?

Are they still not enforcing the rules as long as you're not too close to the dam?

good god i would have messed my pants if i saw that thing down the hole nice fish buddy.

great fish! what a beast! when captain morgan does that pose contest again, you need to submit that picture. [cool]

I use a frabill ladle to measure my fish only prob was that it only goes up to 32" and the TM was much bigger (first time for that). We had a scale...but it happened so fast may have been a mistake. To fired up...but the measurements are close for sure.

We fished in front of the Buoys - didn't go that far back, but I did see several people back there. So not enforcing to heavy I guess. It's was a great day for sure.

Phew - that's a girthy looking fish! Nicely done landing the beast! (good hold in the pic too! [Wink])

That's been my holdout hope for the ice-contest. Land a chunk like that! Would help if I went where the big trout roam too!

That's gotta get your adrenalin rushing! Nice catch, thanks for the share.
Lake trout on Bear lake are snake'y lookin macs. They. Tend to not have the girth like gorge or FL lake trout. I have caught a few 36" lakers on bear lake and they always hit 17-19lb mark.
So I think your correct on that weight , but who knows I've never caught a tiger like that!

Awesome , awesome job!

Holy crap! I would love to land that bad boy!

Were you using leader for the perch and crappie or were you chasing tigers?
[signature]
Chasing Tigers...and catching perch. I didn't think we'd really get one...but you never know. In the water - improve you chance.

What lure do you use for tigers that also catches perch? I have never chased tigers, but I think I just might need to!
