Got over to Montpelier Reservoir Saturday morning. Was trying to win my wife over with the new Vexilar so I put it in her hole, explained how it works, a half hour later she asked if I would take it out because the perch were so thick under her hole that she couldn't even see her jig on the screen. All little perch 6-7 inchers. When I finally loaded up our perch, between the two of us we had 253. I started filleting at 1:00 and just finished at 5:30. We also had limits of Kokanee and caught some skinny snake trout even a brown trout. Lots of water around the edges, going back out to get my friends gear the ice gave way on the edge and my four wheelers wheel almost completely disappeared, the four wheel pulled me up onto ice, kind of creepy with the warm spell.

We stayed in Lava Hot Springs Saturday night with the intention of going to Chesterfield on Sunday but when we got up there was already four inches of snow and the roads were a mess, we drove all the way back to Idaho Falls in four wheel drive. Maybe next time for Chesterfield!

Wow! With all that filleting, your going to need a new knife. It's a pain filleting the little ones, but they sure do taste good! Thanks for sharing the info.
