Fished to the right of the ramp at Wallsburg launch from 2:00p to 5:30p and found the skunk! [frown]

Drilled about 2 dozen holes from 15-60 FOW and didn't mark any fish in the deeper water. Did hang a heavy fish in about 17 FOW... made two strong runs, and then just came unbuttoned at the hole (didn't even get a look at it). Other than that I only had one other mark climbing all over a Buckshot Spoon tipped w/ tube but it could not find the hook.

Ice was 6-7 inches w/ 2" of snow on top. The edges were mushy but I did get on without a problem off the point to the right of the ramp.

Saw three other guys fishing over at Rainbow Point. Too far away to see if they came up with any fish though.

Thanks for the report, too bad the catching was so poor, but Deer creek is like that at times. I hope you have better luck on your next trip.

There has been a report on DC almost everyday for the last few weeks now...The same report everyday.

Yep all of the fish have been caught and the lake is empty.

Time for everybody to go fish up at the berry. LOL

I will keep an eye on DC and let everybody know whent the fishing picks back up.

It's less about the fishing report and more about the ice conditions, especially for those that only get to fish the weekends and may have to drive a long way to ice fish anywhere.

I hit Rainbow Bay yesterday, and my experience matches that of most reporting here. I spoke with 15 fishermen there. Only one had caught anything - two rainbows 14 and 17 inches. Most had not a bite.

I spent three hours going from place to place with my flasher. I saw no bottom action until I hit about 40 feet, when I started seeing what I interpret to be perch. I can't confirm because I could not get them to bite. I tried every color at my disposal, and went from curly tail to soft belly crawfish to vertical microjig to minispoon without exciting much interest, except pink seemed to keep them entertained a bit longer than the others.

Occasional larger fish suspended at about 30 foot would cruise through about one an hour.
