Decided to try for some bigger perch that everyone had been talking about instead of going to PV. so started out at 430 and hit the ice about 710. ice solid no slush on or off so that was nice. drilled holes all over the south side of bridge 50+ i think, almost ran it out of gas. for us fishing was slow only two trout till noon then decided to start drilling more holes and bam!!!!!! found the perch 47FOW and they were stacked from 38FD to the bottom. ended the day at 1600 with about 60 perch between two of us and one nice walleye. percheyes with any chartruse combination worked.

Got on the ice just before the bridge coming from heber, steep hill, I know a lot of people were parked there. no snow what so ever so it was tuff going up the hill in the afternoon on the dirt and mud pulling the sled. i think if you had a wheeler a boat ramp would be better i think there is one on the other side of the bridge.

Yes they are fat and cleaning them is easy compaired to the 6-8 inchers at PV.

me and my brother also went to starvation for the first time yesterday. we were in search of the perch and walleye as well. we were on the other side of the bridge, and ended up catching 6 rainbows. even though the fishing was a bit slow, it was 1 of the funnest days I've had in a long time. spending time with my brother, cooking elk burgers on the ice, and them rainbows were plenty fat, and a real treat to catch. maybe next time I'll try the south side of the bridge. thank you for the information. I'll put an Elk burger on the stove for you next time.

I was up there saturday too, not much luck.

We fished from the bunny gulch parking east along the cliffs, only caught a couple trout.

We picked up and hoofed it to the north shore and punched holes from 60' to 20' and found a few perch but definitely not the numbers we were looking for. Wore out my shoulder drilling through 19" of good ice! If I was going fast I could still get through it under a minute with a 6" nills though, love that thing!

I called it around two with no fish to my name. They picked up and hit currant creek for the afternoon, same story. Nice scenery, not many fish.
