Hit the lake at first light this morning and fished till 4:00 in the afternoon. The slush had frozen up hard and the lake was solid around the edges. You could tell it was quite a mess last week. We traveled about a mile up the lake, I wanted to fish an area that was hot for us trolling in the late summer. Only one problem, at that time it was 25 feet deep and now its only 8 feet. We still landed around 60 trout, little ones from 12 to 16 inches. I had on two slabs but didn't land either one, maybe next time. I sure hope the lake fills up this spring, it sure is low. Also very concerning all the little stuff.
