So, I get to go down to Parawan and visit the lovely Justice Court early Friday morning, so I figured I'd make a day of it and try to smash a few Bass. Has anyone been down there lately? The most recent post I could find on here resulted in zero replies, so I'm essentially bumping it with my own plea for guidance. I'm planning on fishing deep with a variety of plastics until I find something that works -- unless someone knows something "secret"... I'd be willing to trade a handful of TD's wobble-jigs, a massive hug, and maybe even a butt-pinch *Wink Wink* for some insider info. (or any info, for that matter)

But seriously, if anyone wants to tag along, I'm going. I'll be in a Prius (that will likely be covered with beautiful women -- you know how Hybrids are) so gas won't be an issue. Leaving early Friday morning - I believe my court time is 9am, so I could drop you off at the lake, go tell the judge to eat the corn, and then be back to fish the rest of the day. (assuming he doesn't throw me in jail)

Send PM's, etc. if you're interested. If I get too desperate, I do have an extra pontoon boat that I can load up as well, but it won't have a motor or battery.

Well the butt pinch should definitely get more replies than this! Hooked on Utah had a show from just a few weeks ago and they pretty much drop shot all day and caught fish. You tube has tons of videos on drop shot techniques. Wish I could go been really wanting to catch some bass!

I'm not going to be much help but since no one replied to the last S.H. request I'm replying. I was at Quail Creek at about 4 pm a week ago today. Air temps were already starting to cool a bit that late in the afternon. I only lasted an half hour as I got no bites and the several boats fishing appeared to have no bites in that time. My advise is just fish the warmest part of the day. No secrets just basic slow presentation as the water temps are in the low 40's. Parowan is a good hour from Sand Hollow -not sure you'd want to do the extra 2 hours prior to court.
Maybe the folks requesting info that went down this weekend can be more helpful after they get back.
When are you going to change your name to BassBumDave anyway[Wink]?

Too windy for me. Talked to a few guys prefishing for a big tournament next weekend. They said it was super slow. I think the cold and wind has the fish very tight lipped. Plan on lots of company next weekend. I believe that tournament usually has around 20 boats. It'll be interesting to see how they do. I think we're still about a month or so away from decent fishing.

They should have named that place windy hollow.

How the heck do you purpose to get TWO pontoons and gear in you chic mag car?
I have a killer new Carp/Bass fly...

Very true! :-)

I love that place, but the wind sure BLOWS.

Easy. I have skillz.

Details on this new pattern, bitte?

Also, the tournament is this Friday? Suck! What about Quail? I've never been there -- anyone have any yay/nay to say on that?

I think the tournament is Saturday, but I imagine most competitors will be prefishing on Friday.

Good luck. Please give us a report.

Tourney is Sat but expect at least 20 boats prefishing Friday - I'm one of them. Dropshot, tubes and jigs are the likely producers in that order - at least for me. Unless water temps are above 50 degrees - then I try deep cranks and slow rolling spinners as well.

Right on, thanks for the heads up. Good luck to you guys. I think I'll give Quail a try. I've never been there, so it will be nice to see/try some new water.

They have been repairing the dam so Quail was drawn down a lot.Might be refilling by now though. The draw down messed up fishing a lot.

Judas, this thread is just oozing with good news! Maybe I'll just say screw it and drive to Powell.

The water level was by far the lowest I've ever seen at Quail back on the Feb. 2nd.

i would dead stick a nail weighted senko in 30 feet of water but that is me Smile

Didn't you hear that all of the fish in Powell are full of mercury and to not even try for them? LOL

there will be plenty of room at sand hollow to fish and as far as quail goes it is comeing up 3 feet a day the fishing for bass is slow over there there is a good trout bite going on at quail if you want bass go to sand hollow and fish

Let me start off by saying that if I could physically make love to any lake in the world, it would be SH -- however...

Worst day of fishing I think I've ever had. Ever. It was bad enough that I'm scrapping my plan to stay tonight and hit the early morning/noon bite. I've never scrapped a fishing day in my life.

Sad times, my friends. I wish FFL would teach me how to win @ fishing.
