Hit Mohave on Wednesday and had a pretty good day. The weather was perfect with little to no wind; which is rare for me at Mohave. We launched at safe light to get some practice in and scout some new spots. We fished steep bluff walls up to 50'. Used mainly jigs. Here are two Mohave Jewels.

My buddy's 6lb Beauty

On Thursday I hit Mead with my brother. Launched a little late and made a long run to find few fish. Weather was great, soft breeze and warm. Fishing was tough. I was fortunate to land this 5lb beauty. Fished out past the jawbone area .

I'm jealous! Some awesome fish! Betting that brownie put up a fight that one won't be too quick to forget.

Fingers crossed the weather is better next weekend. Madi wants to get back out there and catch some Stripers so I can smoke them.

Hopefully, not too far off in the future, good Bass fishing will be back.

Where is the jawbone area? Couldn't find that doing a quick search.

Gorgeous fish man!

I've got to start fishing Mojave more. You just don't see 5lb smallies in Mead.

Ya, thanks for the comments. Thats my personal best small mouth. He did put up quite the fight, of course went aerial a couple times. He was pretty pissed. Hopefully Ill be able to catch him later when I have dollars are on the line.[laugh]

The jawbone is pretty much from walker bay up past the haystacks nearly to temple bar. Its sort of that whole shoreline area that makes up the northern shore as you leave the virgin basin heading into the temple basin.

Nice fish from Mojave.

Ah, been in that area a few times. Just didn't know what it was called. Long haul in a boat that only goes ~1/2 the top end speed of yours. Been meaning to get back out there again though. Just another area to learn.
