Got out for a few hours today starting about daylight. It was cold for the first part of the day
but the sun finally came through and it warmed up for a couple hours 'till the clouds covered
the sun again. Water temp was warmer than the air :o Water was around 48* in most places.
Ended the day with 15 crappie, 1 golden shiner, and 1 lake perch. The keeper rate on the crappie
ran about 60% today and mostly in 15 FOW. Plenty of bait fish for them to fatten up on and
if this weather holds like it has been the crappie will go into the spawning season in very good
shape. Now if TVA will only keep the water level where the crappie like it we'll have a great spawn emoThumbsup
I was on the trailer by 2 pm and headed to refill with liquid gold, emoAngry
The river current was too strong to find any amount of crappie/bait fish so had to fish the sloughs emoTongue
