How difficult is it to pull a sled on to the ice at Echo? Is there still enough snow on the ground near the boat ramp?

I've never seen the ramp/gate open or plowed in the winter, I wanted to try it except for that, the access can be rough especially with a sled, that being said I haven't seen it this year.

I fished on Echo about a week ago and most of the snow down to the boat ramp had melted. Once you get to the top of the ramp there was snow most of the way down to the lake. You do have to pull your sled over a few rocks to get down, which isn't bad as long as your sled isn't too heavy...

We fished Echo yesterday afternoon. Edges were still good fishing was slow. There was very little snow on the north side of the ramp and the lake was not slushy. We caught one 10" perch and a dink.we were straight north of the ramp in 32 FOW. If I had brought the 3 wheeler we would have fished the bluffs under the highway.
