Starts around 10. I hope many of you can make an appearance. Understand, this is not just to fish, it is to get what is rightfully ours. This effects hunters too. And any water recreation, if not for you, but for the children in the future,
SEE YOU THERE.

Utah Stream Access Coalition posted in Rally at the Capitol
Utah Stream Access Coalition 4:59pm Feb 14
Rally Tomorrow, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ
We need to get everyone ready for the rally tomorrow.
Here a few things to prepare:
Contact your Rep:
Make sure you have been calling into or writing your representatives. I know many of you have done this, but keep it up, especially if they did not reply to you. Furthermore try to set up an appointment to meet with your House Rep. at 10:30, 10:45, 11:00 and so forth. Many reps may want to avoid the masses. So if you put in a note to see them they may or may not come out. To better your chances set up an appointment today, and let them know you are willing to meet them tomorrow. Dress: Dress warm and come as you are. Many have asked about how we should dress for the day. The best message is to be yourself. Many of us are from varied walks of life that may be a business suit or a pair of jeans and a polo shirt. At any rate dress warm, because it will be cold outside at 10:00 am. It will be about 30 degrees.
Stay on message:
The Mission of USAC is to promote and assist in aspects of securing and maintaining public access to, and use of, Utah’s public waters and streambeds. It has come to our attention that we MUST stay on mission and message. PLEASE!!! be mindful of that on how you behave and carry yourself throughout the day tomorrow. Be Civil and Respectful. We recognize this is a “Hot Button” topic, it is important that we are acquiring allies not losing them. Crude and offensive tones are not welcome.
Many USAC members are from a variety of backgrounds and ways of life and are supporters of a wide array of political and social issues. We applaud the diversity of our membership, but tomorrow we need to keep a narrow focus and stay on point. If you had hoped to bend your representative’s ear on a variety of issues, please do so on a different day. While some members may support environment groups or gun issues whatever your cause, we as a Coalition do not represent any interests other than that of stream and river access. We have to be careful of every word that comes out of our mouths and how that can be interpreted. I hope and trust everyone is understanding of our wishes. Please feel free to email me to discuss further. vicepresident@utahstreamaccess.org
Here is your message: OPPOSE HB68 URGE them to SUPPORT COMPROMISE, refer to Dixon M. Pitcher Bill “Stream Access Compromise.”
Instruction # 4 Signage and Props:
Paddles, Fish landing nets, Kayaks etc… are all welcome. The plan is to attach a sign to your prop. Then hold it up high for all to see. In order to further define unity we would like to use the same signage for consistency sake. We recognize there are many creative individuals in our membership; however unified promotion of message is key. If your son or daughter has made a sign and wants to bring it, we support involvement of our younger membership and water recreationists. We will be posting two images here we want you to use for signage. You can download the image, go to a Kinko’s or Office Max / Depot and have them make it into a sign for you. There is heavy card stock poster that you can have printed for about a $1.25. You can then use zip ties or packing tape to attach to your landing net or paddle for example.
