TubeNtoo and I got there before the crack of dawn as this lake opens only at sunrise. The water temperature was a cool 64 deg. Tubes were prepped and loaded and since it was cool outside we heavily favored the 3.5 neoprene waders.

There was a recent trout and cat plant there was nothing in there with our name on it. The only thing that we were able to get from there were a few good pics.

[cool]Lookin' Good. You don't always have to catch fish to have a good time...but catchin' increases the enjoys.

I have put in the order for catchin' while you are over here.

Sounds good to me. I just had to teach TubeNtoo the other rule to catch and release. If you don't catch, then you don't have to release either.

[cool]Hi TubeN2,

Looks like you had a nice outting. Always enjoyed seeing father and son doing fun things together.

By the way I don't see any BFT decals on your tube.

Hey Dryrod, its hard to get them to stick on that type of material. I'm in the process of getting some new ones.

Hey Aquaman, That is cement all the way around. It is a manmade lake that is stocked once in awhile. They just recently stocked and my son is dying to catch his first trout. I wanted to start him with a planter and then work him up to a flyrod in a natural stream. Step by step.

Hey Dryrod, I almost forgot. Take a good look at TubeNtoo's hat. It is a BFT beanie. It is kind of hard to see the logo. I am also wearing the BFT pro team long sleeve shirt. The logo is covered up by my PFD but you can see the Booya label on the left sleeve.

He also has on a BFT T-shirt. We always wear something with BFT on it and get many inquiries from other anglers.

Hey there tubeN2,

I just noticed while looking at a number of the county lakes that there were a lot of species of turtles inhabiting the lakes. They do exceptionally well in the enclosed or cement bottomed lakes. Hansen Dam Lake looks like an exceptional lake for those snappers. Did you notice any little mississippi snapper's heads popped up out of the water looking for who-knows-what-of-anything-you-got?

Sure hope you don't have a run-in with one of those little guys that measure over 12 inches in diameter and don't turn loose until lighting strikes causing thunder nearby.

Just thought you'd like to know. Your friend!

I haven't seen any turtles yet but they do have some carp in there. There was a guy there yesterday that caught what looked like an 8lb carp. He was so excited and decided to keep it. After about an hour or so he was going aroung to everyone asking how to cook it.

I myself have never eaten carp. But I do have many recipies for other fish.

Go ahead and check out the new message board recipies. I posted a good one for ceviche.

Hey Dryrod, that would be nice. I will see him during the week of Thanksgiving. Maybe do some horse trading at that time. He just sent me and my son a couple of brand new Caddis U-Boats. Those are the ones in the picture. I may need to do something to get the sticker to stick good.

Thanks for the info. We'll get back to ya later.
